The novelist James Michner described the Marigot Bay as "the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean", and he was not the only one who was captivated by it. Due to its unspoilt nature the Marigot Bay served as perfect setting for movies such as Dr. Doolittle in 1967, Fire Power 1979, Superman II 1980, Water 1985, White Squall 1994 and Creature 1998.
